Challenge
Padel training is traditionally based on static drills, cones, and verbal instructions, offering limited feedback and low engagement.
The challenge was to design a compact, easy-to-install system capable of delivering clear visual cues and instant response without disrupting the court environment.
Concept & Ideation
The early design phase focused on creating a system that could seamlessly integrate into existing padel courts while remaining intuitive and non-intrusive.
Through sketching and rapid form exploration, multiple concepts were evaluated to balance projection accuracy, durability, and ease of installation.
Solution
The final solution is a modular laser projection system mounted directly onto the court structure.
It projects dynamic training patterns while an integrated vision system detects ball impacts and provides real-time visual feedback.
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
LazPad integrates laser projection, galvo motors, onboard processing, and AI-based vision within a compact enclosure.
The internal architecture was designed to optimize component layout, thermal performance, and long-term reliability.
SYSTEM IN USE
Installed directly on the court, LazPad delivers clear visual references without interfering with gameplay or player movement.
The system adapts to different training scenarios, supporting both individual drills and structured coaching sessions.
