Livestock Sensor Enclosure System

Two DFM-ready enclosures for early disease detection in cattle - ear tag node and collar-mounted sensor.

WHY AMAT STUDIOS

Design starts with understanding. Before any sketch, any CAD file, any material decision. I need to know your product, your constraints, and where the project actually stands. That's what separates a design that looks good from one that gets built.

My work combines industrial design and engineering thinking from the first day. Form, manufacturability, assembly logic and cost implications are resolved together, not in sequence. The result is a design package that your manufacturing team can work with directly, without a translation layer in between.

Your project sits exactly at the intersection of field durability, miniaturization and manufacturing readiness. These aren't just aesthetic constraints, they're engineering decisions that have to be right from day one. I've worked on products with similar demands, and I know where the critical decisions are before they become problems.

WHAT YOU'RE BUILDING

Ear sensor and collar device for cows. Electronics layout already defined. Two enclosures needed, ear tag (~30×25mm) and collar-mounted sensor (~70×45mm) - both IP67-rated, DFM-ready for injection molding, with physical 3D printed prototypes to validate before production.

SCOPE

Ear Tag Enclosure

Compact housing designed around your PCB layout.

IP67-rated sealing strategy.

DFM-ready for injection molding.

3D printed prototype included.

Collar Sensor Enclosure

Housing for the collar-mounted node.

IP67 sealing.

Designed for field durability and easy servicing.

3D printed prototype included.

Anti-Theft Locking System

Security closure integrated into the collar enclosure.

Mechanical locking.

Non-standard tooling required for removal.

Designed for field reliability.

Production-Ready Files

Full Creo Parametric CAD package + STEP exports.

DFM annotations for wall thickness, draft angles, parting lines and assembly tolerances.

PROCESS

I follow a clear, step-by-step process that reduces uncertainty and manufacturing-ready desicions.

01.

Layout Review & Constraint Definition

Review of your PCB layout, component stack, connector positions and sealing requirements. This defines the hard constraints before any form development begins.
