MEZIE needs a two-part handle system — a metal grip mating with a replaceable plastic head via a snap-fit connection. The brief started from reference photography, but the goal isn't replication: it's an original design with its own form language and its own IP, engineered to perform the same function without inheriting someone else's geometry.

This proposal covers the full path from concept to production-ready files: an original aesthetic direction for the handle, complete parametric CAD for both mating parts, and a CNC manufacturing package — 3D model and toleranced 2D drawing — ready to hand to your South Korean manufacturer.

The starting point is a competitor's product. The handle shape needs enough original character to stand as its own design, while still solving the same ergonomic and functional problem.

A snap-fit that has to work without a physical sample
Metal handle and plastic head have to mate reliably — tolerance, retention force, insertion feel — all defined without either part existing physically yet. That coupling has to be treated as one design problem, not two separate parts.

Documentation strict enough for a South Korean CNC supplier
Standard CNC tolerancing isn't enough here. The connecting notch needs explicit tolerance ranges called out on the drawing to match your manufacturer's requirements.

Doing this right — original geometry, validated fit, fully toleranced documentation — means MEZIE owns the design outright and hands its manufacturer a file package with zero ambiguity, rather than a rushed copy with legal exposure baked in.

The metal handle and plastic head are designed together, as a single mating system, so the snap-fit connection is defined by intent rather than reverse-engineered from a photo. The result is an original silhouette — MEZIE's own proportions, transitions, and detailing — built around the same functional footprint as the reference.

The process covers concept direction, full parametric CAD for both parts, and a fit-validated connection between them. Every surface and tolerance decision is made to survive contact with a real CNC shop, not just to look right in a render. Original by design, manufacturable by default.

3D model of the product in production-ready CAD. Editable, constraint-aware, and ready to hand off to engineering or transition directly into Class A surfacing.

Physical Prototype
Held-in-hand validation of scale, feel, and proportions. Basis for go/no-go on the form factor.

DFM Review
Manufacturability analysis of the design — wall thickness, draft angles, undercuts, and parting lines — flagging risks before tooling commitment.
